Induction cooking requires pots and pans that are made of ferromagnetic materials. To know if cookware is compatible with the induction technology, look for the induction symbol on the cookware packaging or on the bottom of the pan. Place a magnet on the cookware. If the magnet sticks to the cookware, it is compatible with induction technology.

Optimal cookware is round with a flat bottom and has a diameter between 3.5″ – 10″. Pans that are warped or have curved bottoms will not heat evenly.
